Shelev expands its range of electric vehicles and trucks

Shelev launches its leasing offer for electric passenger vehicles and electric trucks for the tourism sector and new urban development zones.

Electric vehicles have become increasingly popular in tourism areas as well as new urban township developments. The Vietnamese government and the private sector welcome new emission free transport options in order to reduce carbon emission and noise pollution.

Long-term leasing or financing of electric carts and trucks is extremely popular in other countries. However, in Vietnam, most companies had to buy electric vehicles with cash up to now. This is due to lack of bank financing and other options for these types of vehicles.

Shelev now offers now a range of a new and smarter solution: We offer Operating Lease with convenient monthly rental payments. We provide periodic maintenance, repair service, periodic tire and parts replacement, insurance, and other convenient services and customization options.

The future of fleet finance in Vietnam

Leading car distributor Hyundai Gia Định sees the future of car and fleet financing in flexible and customized financing solutions.

We live in unprecedented times of prosperity in Vietnam. Consumer demands and lifestyles are rising. Disposable income is increasing. And Vietnam is experiencing rapid development and urbanization. The transport and financing sector is seeing a big shift and rapid growth opportunities. Vietnam’s passenger car market is growing so rapidly – at a CAGR of over 35% year-on-year – the fastest growing market in ASEAN. All 3 segments are growing fast: The taxi market, ride hailing market, consumer car market

Yet, access to traditional bank financing and investment capital is limited. Processes are complicated and take too much time. Many financially healthy enterprises and individuals can not access sufficient bank loans because of lacking: Collateral, Documents, Sufficient Leverage ratios

Most businesses across transport sectors are in need to access more capital, financing or partnerships to capture potential growth opportunities, as the availability of traditional sources of financing does not match the huge market opportunities in our growing economy.

Customer mindset is also shifting in Vietnam’s new economy. We see new trends: Today more and more customers ask about financing solutions that can preserve investment and working capital and are more flexible and customized. Recently, New fleet solution has emerged like:

  • Operating leasing
  • Rent-to-own solutions,
  • Innovative rental solutions
  • Sale-and-lease back
  • Car consumer finance

At the frontier are innovative companies like Shelev. With customized fleet solutions that are tailored to the unique opportunities and challenges of Vietnamese businesses and individuals. If you want to grow your fleet business or just explore new auto solutions, please contact our team at Hyundai Gia Dinh.

Shelev Vietnam and Lado Taxi Group plan to extend provincial taxi fleets across Vietnam’s economic growth zones.

Vietnam’s Third largest Taxi network Lado Taxi has recently extended its fleet with the innovative fleet solutions of Shelev Vietnam Business Group – a next generation fleet-, finance-, and mobility solutions provider.

(09.03.2021 / Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) Vietnam’s Third largest Taxi network Lado Taxi has recently extended its fleet with the innovative fleet solutions of Shelev Vietnam Business Group – a next generation fleet-, finance-, and mobility solutions provider.

Many provinces in Vietnam continue to experince two-digit GDP growth rates. Rapid economic development and urbanization will continue to demand more taxi supply. Lado taxi plans to extend its fleet with Shelev Vietnam in the future. Besides the large taxi markets in Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi, the provincial and second-tier city taxi market is forecast to experience strong CAGR growth at 16% over the next decade as consumer demand, lifestyle and disposable income rises. The major ride-hailing services are not available in provincial regions. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City collectively account for 93 percent of the ride-hailing market, and ride-hailing had a hard time to expand outside this two major cities. By continuously launching promotions, discounts on every single ride, ride-hailing apps attracted large users and drivers in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, hand-in-hand with huge losses over the years.

“Even with the updated government regulations, ride-hailing fleets in Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi have declined drastically over the last 2 years. Partially due to the covid pandemic, and partially due to a shift of resources to develop services of financing, food delivery, freight forwarding, digital content and digital payments. The days of huge bonuses and incentives for Grab drivers are gone. Lado taxi is continuously extending its own ride-hailing app that is popular in its key provinces,” says Mr Nguyen Ngoc Dong, Member of Liên Minh Việt Taxi Association and General Director Lado Taxi.

Lado Taxi network has grown steadily over the last decade. Today, Lado Taxi is one of Vietnam’s largest taxi operator, with 9 Branch Offices, operating from Duc Trong District, Lam Dong province; Đà Lạt City, Lam Dong; Bao Loc City, Lam Dong province; Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province; Long Khanh City, Dong Nai Province; Vung Tau City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province; Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen Province.

“Traditional bank financing is limited and doesn’t match the markets growth potential. We look forward to continue our growth journey with Shelev. The solutions of Shelev are customer-centric, convenient, and extend our investment capital,” says Mr Dong. Many taxi companies are trying to grow and claim the unique market opportunity while the economy is developing and continues its journey as a prosperous free market economy. Customer expectations are equally are rising across Vietnam’s young population.

In recent years, and especially during the global covid pandemic, Vietnam is actively fueling growth in the private sector by providing support and tax incentives, encouraging the creation of new startups, new business models and technology. With focus on its strong digital foundation and human capital, Lado believes it is uniquely positioned to capture exponential growth and value in the coming years.
